Our Story
Every type-1 diabetic knows the struggle of managing their glucose, especially when traveling or on the go. When low blood sugar happens, often we have no choice but to consume whatever’s nearby. Usually these products are made with high-fructose corn syrup, refined sugar, and other questionable ingredients. We believe diabetics deserve a healthier, more natural, and highly portable option for addressing their lows.
That’s why we created GoGlucose.
GoGlucose is for the type-1 diabetic who cares about what they put into their body. What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. GoGlucose or Go Home.
As a type-1 diabetic for 33 years, I’ve managed a lot of ups and downs. Traveling anywhere required pre-planning for how long I’d be out and how many snacks I had to bring, Every long distance drive, every sleep over, every work Trip, every time I left the house - I brought a carbohydrate snack.
This worked for many years but the snacks and sugary drinks were bulky to carry around. I even tried glucose tablets from the pharmacy, which were chalky and had ingredients that read like chemicals.
I didn’t want to lug snacks around anymore. I wanted something small, light, and travel friendly. I wanted real food with clean ingredients. I wanted to travel easy and be confident knowing I had something in case my blood sugar dropped.
I created go glucose because It’s a product I knew I would use. It’s for me and It’s for you. it’s for all of us. GoGlucose of go home.
